TOKYO — Movie star Aoi Miyazaki will strike a new chord with her fans by playing the role of an electric guitarist and singer in a film to be released next spring. Miyazaki, 23, plays a woman, Meiko, who quit her company in the second year of her career in the film ''Solanin'' based on the popular manga comic story of the same name by Inio Asano.
The actress had little prior experience of playing the guitar and practiced hard while shooting the film. ''It was good that I was able to play each song from start to finish and I feel satisfied with that,'' Miyazaki said.
