YOSHIKI Undergoing Surgical Treatment For Recovery on Left Hand Numbness
X JAPAN's YOSHIKI has undergone a surgical treatment to ease the numbness in his
left hand on May 27th in before noon, local time, at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in California, USA. The procedure was to relieve the pain in his nerves and he is meant to recover in 2 to 3 days, without any further affects on his work thereafter. Before the surgery, YOSHIKI commented "I am feeling rather positive about it. Toshi and the other members are all close by, so I am completely fine."
After the surgery last year, he had said that a 100% recovery is impossible, however, as a drummer and pianist in need to fascinate his fans, YOSHIKI decided to undergo an additional operation.
This year from August 6th to 8th, in Chicago at the Lollapalooza Festival X JAPAN are going to perform, followed by their two-days performance on August 14th and 15th at the Yokohama Nissan Stadium. The surgery had been scheduled in consideration of these events as much as X JAPAN's recording businesses.
Last week, in accordance to the album release in August, guitarist SUGIZO has also been traveling to the USA for further progress of the works. "The recording is also going fairly well, therefore I am looking ahead positively", YOSHIKI said, facing the challenges the band has to face.
