Tohoshinki Shows Unique and Cool Sides in TV Commercials

The five-member group of artists from Korea Tohoshinki will appear in a new series of TV commercials for ‘Pinky’, a snack made by Koikeya [snack food brand]. The commercials are set to go on air from September 9th. There are two different versions of the TV ads, with a ‘Unique’ version for ‘fruit mint’ flavor ‘Pinky’ and a ‘Cool’ version for ‘Alaska mint’. In the unique version the members appear on a public screen with each promoting the snack by saying ‘SHINKI ITTEN [Refresh yourselves with] NEW Pinky!’ But since the group’s leader YUNHO (23) was given a role where he cannot say anything, all 5 members go to the director and ask that he give YUNHO a line to speak. For the cool version Tohoshinki stands still while a white mist swirls around them. The actual filming was done back in July at a studio in Tokyo. The film shooting took a total of about 12 hours. Although the filming took a prolonged period of time, the members showed no signs of fatigue. They themselves asked for a retake whenever they were not satisfied with the results.
