Inoue wants 'to go crazy' with Western partner at Cherry Blossom Party

Actress Mao Inoue, 23, and American actor Jonathan Sherr, 35, made a nice couple under the cherry blossoms at Mori Gardens in Roppongi Hills during a recent event to promote their film “My Darling Is a Foreigner.”

The film is based on a comic series by Saori Oguri, 43, and her American husband Tony Laszlo, 49. Sherr, who first met Oguri while teaching at an English conversation school five years ago, plays the role of Tony - a linguist who comes to Japan and begins a relationship with Inoue’s character Saori - a comic book artist who can’t speak English and whose parents are opposed to them getting married.

“I think an international marriage would be really nice. I want to go crazy with a Western partner at a cherry blossom party, but I’ll have to be careful no trashy pictures of it show up in the magazines,” Inoue joked.

Inoue is also set to appear in a new commercial series for Glico ice cream.

“My Darling Is a Foreigner” opens in theaters on April 10.
