JYJ Named Ambassador for "UNAIDS"


The three members of JYJ have recently been honored as the new Goodwill Ambassadors for UNAIDS, making them the first Korean citizens to be honored with the title for the Asia-Pacific branch of the organization.

The idol group was officially appointed at the 10th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific held at the BEXCO center in Busan, Korea this past Monday, which is pictured above. During the event, JYJ delivered messages to promote the prevention of AIDS and raise awareness of the disease, which was attended by upwards of 4,000 people from over 70 countries.

Meanwhile, the band will also be making an appearance at the closing ceremony of the IAAF World Athletic Championships in Daegu this coming Sunday as a representative of K-pop.
