Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu is just like any other woman when facing her
mother-in-law.
The couple was recently embroiled in a quarrel with Zhang Chao Yang, the CEO of Chinese website Sohu.com, after he streamed their entire wedding ceremony 'live' on the site.
To keep their wedding a secret, the pair even went all out to ban any recording devices from the event. When the live stream was uploaded, it caused Barbie to bear the brunt of the Taiwanese media's criticisms.
The actress insisted that she was going to sue Zhang while Xiaofei wrote on his blog that he "regretted inviting him to the wedding".
However, Zhang Lan, Barbie's mother-in-law, spoke up for Zhang, saying that reporting on the wedding was his responsibility. The older woman explained that Barbie wanted to sue because she felt aggrieved.
Zhang Lan added that there is no right or wrong in this matter and that it is more important for both parties understand each other.
To let matters rest, the blog entry on Xiaofei's blog was taken down and the war of words between the couple and Zhang ended.
